Portugal's trusts of a first title are still alive after Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. won on punishments against Poland. Robert Lewandowski's objective following 100 seconds, the second speediest in European Championship history, put Poland ahead, at the end of the day a miss from individual Bundesliga star Jakub Blaszczykowski in the shootout saw Portugal improvement with a 5-3 win. They will now play Wales or Belgium in the semi-finals, who go head to head in Lille on Friday night. 

The score was 1-1 following 120 minutes, with Lewandowski's lead counteracted around the half-hour mark by his future FC Bayern colleague Renato Sanches. "It was the ideal time for my first universal objective," said the 18-year-old after the diversion. The outcome was difficult to accept for Poland however. "It harms a considerable measure," said Lewandowski. "We were the better group, so it's exceptionally miserable to have lost on punishments. They had more ownership, however we had more risks. It's agonizing and it will be for some time."
